Assistant Professor
As an ecosystem ecologist and biogeochemist, I study the interaction of local and global stressors on aquatic ecosystems. I am particularly interested in asking layered research questions where data can simultaneously answer both fundamental ecological questions and applied questions with community impact. PhD Student
As a scientist in training, I want to learn how to ask interesting questions and communicate my results to a broad audience while making meaningful collaborations. I am currently a PhD student with the new ecosystem science group at the Odum School of Ecology. I hold an MSc from the Odum School of Ecology and a BS from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
Masters Student
Grounded in fisheries and aquatic species field work, I enjoy monitoring freshwater ecosystems to inform conservation and management. I aim to ask questions that promote ecosystem resilience by diving into the chemical and physical aspects of limnology, and their ties to native fishes. I enjoy fishing, wildlife photography, and practicing the banjo!
Lab Manager
I'm helping the Fadum lab get settled in and started up here at UGA in conjunction with my position within the Vahsen Lab! I'm trained as a plant ecologist with Bachelors in Ecology and Plant Biology and have interests in evolutionary pressures and conservation. You can usually find me outside fishing, birding, or hiking with my dog, and likely in the nearest coffee shop during the colder months!
